Information on a website can be organized in many different ways however there are five core principles in terms of organizing your information.

  • You want to account for your content. For instance, what do you have and what you need?
  • Set an ordered or hierarchical outline of all your stuff (content) and create a structure that displays you major content prominently
  • Make sure to separaed you stuff (content) in to defined blocks with a categorical structure.
  • Illustrate flowcharts that display the site outline and also illustrates a quick diagram of how the pages link to each other.
  • And the most important thing is to test your site with your audience and measure how easy it s for them to navigate your site.
